The Vine de Clive Coates M.W. (january 2004)
"Fullish colour. Rich, fat, succulent and meaty on the nose. Fullish bachy. Lovely fruit. Excellent grip. This has colpexity, depth and class. Very fragant. Very long. Very Lovely. Very fine".
International Wine Cellar (S. Tanzer)
90/93 ..."Good deep red. Highly nuanced nose combines strawberry, raspberry, minerals. Oriental spices and pungent oak. Juicy and vibrant but also fat and lush, with strawberry, redcurrant and mocha flavours lifted by spicy oak. This shows the deep sweetness of the vintage, and finishes very long, with suave tannins and obvious oakiness."
The Fine Wine Review (Allen Meadows)
89/92..."Medium ruby. Aromas of wild berries, game and a subtle note of smoke lead to rich, intense, moderately fat flavours that are wonderfully well-balanced largely because of the racy. Indeed bright acidity. this is really quite forward, a bit too much so for the flavours to qualify as classic in style but the wine is undeniably delicious and generous with an attractive spice, pepper and mineral suffused finish. 2009-2017
