(barrel tasting)
Purple-violet colour, this wine from whole grapes gives us a luminous fruit, dense and deep. The palate is sumptuous, sculptured by firm tannins with a silky feeling.
Great success.

This is a rich purple-ruby, the nose being superb, evoking black fruits, including roasted cherries with a lovely spiciness. The palate is full-bodied with mouth-coating, silkily textured fruitiness from first tasting, all the way through mid-palate, to a lingering, luscious finish. This is a great vintage for Clos des Lambrays, the wine being complex and multilayered. Creamy elegance and finesse are the hallmarks of this great wine and they are generously to be found in the 2008. Like the previous two reds, this will be bottled without fining or filtration, so we will receive every trace of this wine's lovely textures, flavours and aftertastes in our bottles (for drinking 2010-2020+).
